In partnership with iPet Network, a regulated awarding organisation in the animal care sector, we are offering the Diamond Diploma Cat Grooming course. This Level 3 qualification provides accredited training, helping learners develop recognised professional skills in feline grooming and business management.
Qualification Overview – Diamond Diploma Cat Grooming
This qualification is designed for those who want to:
- Prepare, style, and finish a range of cat breeds.
- Understand health and safety in a cat grooming salon.
- Gain skills in business management for a pet grooming salon.
- Learn feline emergency first aid.
Course Details
The Diamond Diploma Cat Grooming course combines practical training and online learning:
- Practical Training: Minimum of 15 days at Absolutely Animals.
- Online Learning: 18.5 days of self-paced lessons from home.
- Portfolio Completion: Submit an online portfolio to meet the 267 guided learning hours required for certification.
Candidates will receive personal instruction from Heidi Anderton during online lessons, ensuring expert guidance throughout their training.
Course Structure & Learning Outcomes
This Level 3 qualification, developed by iPet Network, allows candidates to start without needing a lower-level course.
Over 15 days, students will:
- Groom at least 20 cats, covering a minimum of 8 different breeds and 4 coat types—often more.
- Learn practical grooming techniques, including prepping, bathing, scissoring, clipping, styling, and nail trimming.
- Gain business and salon management skills, preparing them for professional work in the feline grooming industry.

The units included in this qualification are:
- 324: Health and Safety in a Cat Grooming Environment
- 325: Promote the Welfare of Cats in Conformity with Relevant Legislation
- 326: Customer Care and Managing Complaints
- 327: Evaluate and Plan Cat Grooming Styles and Equipment Maintenance
- 328: Health Checking, Handling, and Feline Behaviour
- 329: Prepare, Style, and Finish a Range of Cat Breeds
- 330: Planning the Operation of a Small Animal Business
- 332: Feline Emergency First Aid
Candidates are assessed continuously through practical demonstrations and coursework. There is no requirement for a formal exam to achieve this qualification. The iPet Network has designed this qualification to offer a well-rounded blend of theoretical and practical learning. A fast-track option is available for experienced groomers who seek formal recognition of their skills or those who hold other qualifications but would benefit from the iPet Network qualification.

iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Cat Grooming and Salon Management
- Practical Days: 15 days.
- Theory: 18.5 days of online lessons from home, plus an online portfolio to complete at your own pace.
Includes:
- An Online Feline First Aid Course taught by Vet Dr Sophie Bell.
- DAATA Introductory Skin and Coat Course.
- Personal instruction from Heidi Anderton as part of the online lessons.
You’ll also have direct access to a tutor and a WhatsApp group for any questions.
This qualification must be completed and assessed within 23 months.
